If you are a skilled worker and would like to progress to the next level of qualification, then the Blue CSCS Card is the right one for you. To achieve this, you will need to have completed a construction related NVQ or SVQ level 2 or Completed an apprenticeship, such as an Employer sponsored apprenticeship.
This card can also be applied for by those with the relevant experience but no qualification to back it up.
You must also have one of the following:
- Attained an SVQ or NVQ level 2
- A NARIC report and certificate equivalent to NVQ level 2 (this route goes through appeal and will require additional documents.)
- Passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test
It will demonstrate to a prospective employer that you have the health and safety knowledge, plus are fully trained to competently perform the duties on site and this card is valid for only 5 years. Access to the full list of acceptable courses for this card can be found on https://www.cscs.uk.com/card-type/skilled-worker/
